About

Randomstrasse101 is a blog based out of a nearly homonymous address is a math blog created and maintained by Afonso Bandeira, Daniil Dmitriev, Anastasia Kireeva, Antoine Maillard, Petar Nizic-Nikolac, and Kevin Lucca at ETH Zurich. It will focus on the mathematical interests of the group, which tend to involve Probability Theory (oftentimes high dimensional, and/or involving random matrices), algorithms, computational lower bounds, combinatorics (usually in the form of “combinatorial linear algebra”), just to name a few. There will be an emphasis on open questions, in the style of Afonso’s –now almost a decade old– list of open problems, it will mostly feature posts by group members, but also include guest posts.

At the end of each year, we compile the open problems in an arXiv submission, you can access them here.

Manuscripts with the Open Problems: 2024.

If you would like to refer to an open question or blog entry, we encourage you to cite the manuscript instead, since it is a more stable reference.

There is an issue with the blog cache in some browsers, usually doing a ``hard refresh’’ allows one to enjoy the latest posts.
